CommonFloor for digital age gated communities

I am an office bearer in our apartment association. As a part of that role, I actively scouted for an online portal that helps owners/residents of an apartment complex to interact with each other thru discussion boards and reach out to each other. I wanted some thing more than a regular yahoo group where the interaction is primarily email based. I needed a portal where one can easily administer the members, upload various types of documents/photos, post notices, ability to run classifieds, form sub-groups, track expenses of association etc.

I did not find too many choices – and finally narrowed down on e-community.in and commonfloor.com. I was blown by the user interface of commonfloor.com. Its really sleek and has several features I was looking for.  e-community.in also offered good features, but lacked the punch. We kind of  now finalized on commonfloor.com for our complex. You can see the list of features available on Commonfloor website and take a guided tour.

For tech savy folks, CommonFloor uses Web2.0 technologies to provide a cool interface. It integrates very well with some existing portals to provide real time local information like neighbourhood restaurants, groceries etc.

The best part is the responsiveness with which my queries get answered by CommonFloor folks. In addition, they seem to take customer feedback very seriously and some of my requirements for new features and suggestions are being implemented.

Way to go CommonFloor!

I really recommend this portal for any one who is living in an apartment/gated community to use for thier societies.
